Frankly, they're both good. I'd just choose one or the other in proximity to where you end up.

Hi Everyone,
I'm making a fun trip out of working on a Harvest Festival up in Yolo County, leaving this Thursday Oct. 4. Had to work weekends all summer and haven't been outta town for 9 months. So I'm making this an extra long weekend with cool stops along the way up and back. I read on here people gave the San Leandro Thirft Town 5 stars. Also saw the Fremont one got high marks too. Since I will also be going to the Grocery Outlet, probably in Newark or Hayward, which Thrift Town would you recommend if I could only fit in one with the GO stop?
I may go thrifting on Thurs. and then since I'm camping, it would make sense to buy the food on the way home. (I'm working a food booth at the Festival, so I don't need food for the weekend!)
After serving 5000 folks in one day, I'm off to Wilbur Hot Springs for the first time on Sunday night for a soak and a massage!
You're probably all hip to this site, but I just discovered it and it's a great resource for planning a trip that includes out-of-town thrifting!

Thanks Thrifties,
