So, has anyone been to thrift stores or flea markets in Europe?
I'm specifiacally interested in Venice, Vienna, Innsbruck/the Tirol, Prague, London, Cambridge and Manchester and would love any tips you got.

Re: Euro Thrift?
Thu, January 4, 2007 - 8:23 PMI've been to the "Charity Shops" (British for Thrift Store) in St. Andrews, Scotland while my husband was golfing (I went out for a round on the "Old Course" the day before and I think the weather is the real "hazard" in Scotland so stuck with shopping after that). There was one near the main street (I can't remember the side street) where I found the most gorgeous things, all under $10 (about 5 pounds in England, which is about as cheap as it gets) I walked out with a great wool coat and some Shetland Wool sweaters and a cashmere twinset. I wish I could be more specific about the location, but that was in 2000! -

Fri, January 5, 2007 - 8:26 AMThat's okay, I won't be getting to St. Andrews! Thanks for the info, though. I'm thinking that a lot of it is at flea markets, though. Might be a very different dynamic.
